Photography is a simple yet infinitely complex art form, easy to learn and filled with creative and technical challenge. Numerous people who’ve gone into it for love have turned it into exciting, lucrative work in advertising, fashion and the press.

The Cengage Education Photography course provides a practical, hands-on introduction to the art and science of photography. You’ll learn the essential behavioural characteristics of light and gain a solid grounding in the fundamentals of lenscraft – focus, aperture and shutter speed.

The course also introduces students to the ‘back office’ elements of photography – development and printing.

It is recommended that you have access to a SLR camera during this course. As a student you will need to be able to supply your own film and have access to processing facilities.

On completion of your course:

Upon completion of this course you will be awarded a Cengage Education Photography Certificate.
