Bachelor of Accounting / Bachelor of Business
Overview Cengage Education offers a combined degree composed of a Bachelor of Accounting/Bachelor of Business.
Designed for high achievers, this double degree gives accounting students the opportunity to study general management or specialise in corporate governance, event and facility management, logistics management, or sport management.
Two degrees
Students can earn two degrees in the equivalent of four years of full time study (completing 33 subjects or Units as they are called in higher education) rather than studying for six years full-time study (48 Units) when taking the degrees separately.
Transferring Between Degrees
Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Accounting students can switch to the combined degree of Bachelor of Accounting / Bachelor of Business at any time, providing they satisfy basic progression rules. Likewise, combined degree students may transfer to either the Bachelor of Accounting or Bachelor of Business at any time.
Recognised qualifications and logical pathway for TAFE students
- Applicants who have completed other post-secondary studies in accounting, business or management are eligible for advanced standing
- Cengage Education also recognises professional experience so applicants may receive recognition for on-the-job learning.
Course Duration and Progression
Students can work at their own pace to their own personal timetable, adjusting their rate of progression on a term-by-term basis, provided they complete the degree within nine years. Students who complete one of the degrees within the combined degree and elect not to continue will be awarded the completed degree.
We advise students to consult their (assigned) mentor when preparing annual study plans to ensure they leave time for contingencies. Students who complete one of the degrees within the combined degree and elect not to continue will be awarded the completed degree.
Attendance
There are no attendance requirements or online lectures for the Bachelor of Accounting / Bachelor of Business.
