Bachelor of Applied Social Science
The Bachelor of Applied Social Science (B App Soc Sci) combines theory and practice to teach you contemporary communication and management theories as well as practical skills and people management tools which you will be able to apply to a variety of work–related fields.
This degree allows you to take a specialisation in counselling, management or coaching, or to study without a specialisation.
Graduates will be well suited for employment in public, private and not–for–profit organizations, and will develop a range of skills that will be highly regarded by employees.
Possible roles for graduates depend on the specialisation you elect to complete but may include:
- Community Welfare Worker; Case Manager
- Community Services Manager
- Community Support Worker
- Counsellor Human Resources
- Research Assistant
- Child Protection Caseworker
