Photography Course
Maurice tutors the Cengage Education Photography course, bringing to it his extensive qualifications and experience in the photography industry.
Maurice became an 'Incorporated Photographer' (qualified member of the British Institute of Professional Photography) in the 1970s. His work experience spans Europe, North America and Australia.
Maurice now teaches the Cengage Education Photography course as well as the other counselling and social science courses. He came to the attention of Cengage Education in the 1980s, when it emerged that he may well be the most successful student the organisation has had in more than 100 years.
Maurice not only has a thorough understanding of what distance education is all about, but also what it is like to be a Cengage Education student - something he never forgets when dealing with students of both the photography course and the counselling courses.

Counselling Courses
Before tutoring counselling courses with Cengage Education, Maurice started his academic career as a high school teacher, but soon moved on to become a Community Development Officer and Welfare Administrator. While Director of a Community Health Centre in the 1970s, he became interested in service delivery, rather than administration, and continued his studies to qualify to become a Counsellor.
Those who wish to go on to become a counsellor will benefit from the knowledge that Maurice brings a lifetime of learning and teaching experience to the Counselling Diploma and the Counselling and Communication Cert IV.
He has gained three undergraduate and five postgraduate university qualifications, with majors in nearly all of the Social Sciences, including Counselling, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Adult Education, History, Economics and Political Sciences.
Counselling Qualifications
Maurice has also completed a string of Certificates and Diplomas at TAFE and other tertiary institutions, including Cengage Education (and its predecessors), with whom he has been associated in one form or another since 1967.
Maurice is a person who is never satisfied until he understands every aspect of what he does. He has a broad range of counselling techniques and counselling skills, which he loves to pass on to new students in the distance education counselling courses.
