A new name and higher aspirations
After nearly 90 years of delivering correspondence courses in Australia - Thomson Education Direct has become Cengage Education, Australia's leading distance education provider.
Since 1921 we have helped over 700,000 Australians gain qualifications and improve their lives. Our long history and experience make us highly qualified to provide tertiary courses that are compatible with the needs of particular professions, including: Accounting, Business, Childcare, Humanities, and Psychology.
With a new name comes a new ambition. Not only will we continue to provide excellent vocational courses – the number currently stands at over 200 - we have also gained government approval to deliver our first higher education degree - the Bachelor of Accounting.
The Bachelor of Accounting is complemented by our other accounting courses as well. If you’ve already completed a Diploma of Accounting, it may count towards a degree through the Recognition of Prior Learning system (as does any other previous study or experience), meaning you have less work to do!
